Baby swimming lessons are part of Aquatics In Motion multi-age children swimming program, bringing to parents of the infant aquatics swim community a leading parent-and-child program which promises a positive head start in water confidence, water safety and early aquatic sensory stimulation for the little ones!

How old must my baby be before they can start swimming lessons?
Baby swimming lessons can start as young as 6 months. Be rest assured that your baby will be in good hands with our experienced instructors.
What is the duration of the swimming lesson for my baby? Can the lesson be longer?
Babies tend to have a much shorter attention span as compared to older kids. Thus, the ideal duration for a baby swimming lesson will be 30 minutes. Anything more might cause an over stimulation to their senses, resulting in crankiness or shutting off from activities.
Where are the swimming lessons conducted?
For private swimming lessons, it can be held either at your own condo pool, or any nearby public pool. For centralised group swimming lessons, please drop us an enquiry, and we will be able to advise you as to which pool venue still has suitable class slot for your child.
Can I group my 8 months old baby with other older toddlers?
We do not recommend having babies and toddlers to be grouped together as their learning speed and ability is different. Which may result in a slower progression for your baby.
What if my baby cries during the swimming lesson?
It is common for babies to cry or fuss on their first few lessons as it is a brand new environment for them. Having to see new faces (coach and other classmates) can be stressful for them at times. Give them some time to settle in into the new class. Always be encouraging and supportive.
Do I need to be in the water with my baby/infant?
Yes. Parents / guardians are highly encouraged to be in the pool with their babies, as our instructors will guide you in teaching your baby how to be acquainted with the water. With your presence, your baby will also have higher sense of security, and reduced stranger anxiety.
What do I need to prepare for my baby for their swimming lessons?
All you need to bring along for the lesson is a set of swim attire and swim diaper. Avoid having meals 1 hour before the lesson as undigested food may cause your baby to vomit.
How long will it take for my baby to be water-safe?
The learning speed is different for every child. Each baby progresses differently due to their individual level of cognitive development. It is common to see instances where some babies will pick up a skill faster than others, however that does not mean that the other baby learners are slow. They may just be slow in a particular skill, and once they pass that stage they may progress faster in other skills.
